Overview

Bookkeeping employees are vital to the success of small to mid-sized companies. However, minimal guidance and few tools exist to help the typical bookkeeping employees perform their duties. In most cases, employees are forced to develop their skills by trial and error and constant on-the-job training, otherwise referred to as the “school of hard knocks.” This approach generally leads to periods of frustration before these employees finally become proficient in their job.

This course provides the practical guidance to help fill this void. It provides how-to guidance to help employees master the various bookkeeping tasks in small to mid-sized companies. The course focuses not only on the day-to-day processing of bookkeeping transactions, such as sales and receipts and purchases and disbursements, but also on monthly, quarterly, and annual tasks such as general ledger closings.
