Certified QuickBooks Advisor (CQA) Exam
Overview
The National Association of Certified QuickBooks Advisors' (NACQA) Uniform Certified QuickBooks Advisor Examination (Exam) is the exam administered to candidates who want to obtain a Certified QuickBooks Advisor (CQA) license. The license and Exam are developed and maintained by NACQA.
Candidates who meet the requirements stated in the Certified QuickBooks Advisor (CQA) Overview and complete and submit the CQA Application for Licensure distinguish themselves and build credibility by having authorized use of "CQA" behind their name (John Doe, CQA), and the CQA license and logo.
Competency
The Exam consists of three parts and is used to test the candidate's QuickBooks competency. Each part of the Exam consists of 50 multiple choice questions and simulations. To pass the Exam, you must receive a minimum of 75% (37 out of 50 questions) on each part.
The three parts of the Exam are as follows:
Part 1: Accounting Fundamentals
Part 2: Payroll Fundamentals
Part 3. QuickBooks Fundamentals (Desktop) or QuickBooks Online Fundamentals
The Exam is taken one part at a time.
Time to Take and Pass the Exam
You have one year from the date of purchase to take and pass each part of the Exam. If you don't pass a part of the Exam, you can re-take the part by purchasing a re-take.
Schedule to Take the Exam
The Exam is taken in ATU's Online Testing Center. You can take a part ofthe Exam at anytime and from anywhere with an Internet connected computer.
When you're ready to take a part of the Exam, go to ATU's Schedule an Exam webpage and schedule the date and time you want to take that part. Access to the part of the Exam will be emailed to you the business day proceeding your scheduled date and time.
Taking the Exam
Each part of the Exam is open-book and you have two hours to complete each part.
